Cleanings & Exams

A comprehensive dental exam includes diagnostic X-rays to detect decay, tumors, and bone loss, an oral cancer screening, evaluation for gum disease, tooth decay checks, and an assessment of existing restorations. During a professional cleaning, tartar and plaque are removed, and teeth are polished to remove stains. The cleaning is performed by a Registered Dental Hygienist and includes a thorough dental exam.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial titanium roots and teeth placed in the jaw to replace missing teeth and provide support for dentures. The process involves several visits, including X-rays, impressions, and surgeries to place the implant and allow for healing. Once healed, artificial teeth are attached, restoring function, appearance, and comfort. Implants are durable, improve chewing, speech, and smile, and can also support bridges or dentures. Proper care and regular dental visits are essential for their longevity.

Dentures & Partials

Dentures are removable appliances that replace missing teeth and improve appearance and function. Complete dentures are used when all teeth in an arch are missing, and can be conventional, made after healing, or immediate, placed right after teeth removal. Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain, filling in gaps and preventing remaining teeth from shifting. The process involves several appointments for impressions, fittings, and adjustments. Dentures are durable but may need repairs or adjustments over time. Proper care and regular check-ups are essential for longevity.

Porcelain / Zirconia Crowns

A crown is a tooth-shaped covering that restores a damaged or decayed tooth, protecting and strengthening it. Porcelain crowns are popular for their durability and natural appearance, matching the shape, size, and color of your teeth. Crowns are used for broken, decayed, or cosmetically enhanced teeth, large fillings, or after a root canal. The procedure typically involves two appointments: the first to take impressions and place a temporary crown, and the second to fit and adjust the permanent crown. Regular care and check-ups are essential for maintaining the crown’s longevity.

Dental Emergencies

A dental emergency involves urgent issues such as severe tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, a broken or fractured tooth, or an abscessed tooth causing swelling or infection. It may also include injuries to the gums, tongue, or mouth that require immediate attention. In a typical dental office, these situations are addressed quickly to relieve pain, prevent further damage, and restore oral health. Prompt care is important to avoid complications and ensure the best outcome.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a non-invasive treatment that enhances the color of natural tooth enamel, often using a home whitening system. It’s ideal for those with stained or yellow teeth due to aging, medications, or fluorosis. The process involves two visits: one for making custom trays and another to ensure a proper fit. Trays are worn with a whitening solution, and touch-ups may be needed over time. Results are not permanent, especially for those who smoke or consume staining foods and drinks. Regular dental visits are recommended to maintain a bright smile.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are used to repair teeth affected by decay, cracks, or fractures. These tooth-colored fillings blend with natural teeth, making them ideal for visible areas. The procedure typically involves one visit where the decayed area is removed, cleaned, and filled with composite material. While durable and long-lasting, composite fillings may need replacement over time. Proper care, good oral hygiene, and regular check-ups can help extend their lifespan.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is needed when the nerve of a tooth is damaged by decay or infection. The procedure involves removing the pulp, nerves, bacteria, and decay, then filling the space with medicated material to restore the tooth’s function. This treatment saves a tooth that would otherwise need to be extracted, which can cause problems for neighboring teeth. Root canal treatment is usually successful and can last a lifetime, although retreatment may be necessary if new infections occur. The process requires one or more appointments, often followed by a crown to protect the tooth. Proper care and regular dental visits help ensure long-term success.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made porcelain pieces bonded to the front of teeth to improve their appearance. They can reshape your smile and are a great alternative to crowns for various dental issues, like crooked, discolored, or chipped teeth. The process typically takes two visits: one to prepare the teeth and take impressions, and another to bond the veneers in place. Veneers are durable but may need replacement over time. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits are important to maintain their longevity.

Clear Correct Braces

ClearCorrect braces are a modern, clear aligner system used to straighten teeth discreetly. Custom-made to fit your teeth, they gradually shift them into the desired position over time. The process typically involves an initial consultation, digital impressions, and a treatment plan designed specifically for your needs. Clear aligners are worn for most of the day, removed for eating and cleaning, and replaced with new aligners every few weeks. Regular check-ups ensure progress, and the system offers a comfortable and nearly invisible alternative to traditional metal braces.
